Goedele Verboomen obtained her licentiate degree in Law from KU Leuven.
She also studied criminological science at the same university. In the context of these studies, she completed a one-year traineeship at the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s Office with the former Youth Court of Leuven.
After being active with the Leuven Bar Association for some years — she was responsible among others for the trainees at the Leuven Young Bar Association — she made the transition to the private sector. In the legal assistance sector, she acquired all-round legal experience as the supervisor of the Dutch-speaking staff.
At the end of 2006, she joined the Devlies office to assist in the office organisation, where she is the right hand of Carl Devlies. She serves as a central point of contact for all possible comments and complaints of clients, and is responsible for the smooth and proper functioning of the office and the financial follow-up of cases.
